Music

As a manner to start that new assignment about our music's tastes, I would like to say that I'm rather electic concercing music. During a long time I have never had a favorite music style, a favorite song or a favorite singer or a favorite band.

Now I could make a list of my favorite music styles: pop music (from the 70's with disco until today), electro-pop, electro-rock, electronic tango, sometimes electroclash, or alternative music are my favorites. I loved that kind of music because I love to dance and I can only dance and forget my problem, dance like a fool with my friends or other people in new dancefloors that I don't know but which are really special to me.

When I'm much more quiet, I enjoy staying at home discoering new songs and it depends of the atmosphere or of my mood I could listen jazz or clasical music (i like going to the Opera in Paris to feel strong emotions with a friend).

I don't use to go to concerts, mainly I can buy the album of one of my favorite singer like Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Björk, Peaches, The Killers, Massive Attack, Air, Goldfrapp, Cansei de Ser Sexy, and many others groups or songs about electro-pop that I can't mention here. But when I go to a concert I like to be close to the scene, because I'm not really tall and everytime someone taller than me is just before me and I can't enjoy the concert. Moreover I thought that I don't like to be too far from the scene because I can't see the singer really good as you can see on a veideoclip or on TV. In January 2006 I had the chance to see a French singer in a concert really close from the scene and I get crazy. When I went to the Bjork's concert in Santiago in November 2007 I was quite far and I didn't feel the same transe.

I have many favorite's songs in English because I mainly listen music hwhom the lyrics are in English even if the groups are not. I put the link of one of a song I liked to listen to when I was a bit younger, because it's the first one I understand in English and moreover it makes me remember about the summer travels I made when with my family we were going dowm from our northwest province to go to the southeastern of France, or ot Italy or to Spain, the sun was shining and hard, I loved feeling it on my skin, wearing strange sunglasses. And what I really do want is to have my driver license in October and to receive my gift, a car (because my grandparents cannot drive now but the petrol is really high) to go bymyself to Spain or Italy and listen to that song and many other ones.

That song is Everybody Wants To Rule The World, by the great English group Tears for Fears, I think it reflects really the deep human desire.
